At Protech Model we have 4 top class Vacuum tables. The different sizes of parts we can pull range from 250mm x 250mm all the way up to our largest vacuum former which has a size of 3000mm x 2000mm. We have mastered, just about, all Material types and can cater for a almost any application. Material types we most commonly work with include : A.B.S, UHI, PETG, Acrylics, PVC, PP (polypropelyne), Polyethelene, and PST.
Robot trimming has been a part of Protech Model for many years now already. Our first Robot we bought was a 5-Axis ABB Robot, which Protech Model took purchase of in 1997. Since then we have upgraded to a much larger ABB robot. The Robot has only use and that is trimming of parts.
Protech Model might have some of the most talented mould builders in the industry, but it got to a point where we were unable to keep up with the demand. CNC machining is used predominantly for mould machining, but also for flat cut out of ACM, PVC Foam Sheets, MDF sheets and many more.
Mould Development was the initial starting point at Protech Model. When the company was started in 1990, the main market for business was for people who needed moulds to be made. Since then, Protech Model has stopped making moulds for clients, unless the mould will get used at Protech Model for production work.
